Particular emphasis has been placed in sourcing and fitting out each room with beautiful fabrics, superb beds with hand-made mattresses and many other quality fittings whilst at the same time retaining many of the period features you would expect to find in this 17th century country house. Views from the rooms are excellent and we have provided you with as many home comforts as possible. Each and every room is unique and decorated differently...so much so that many of our guests have personal favourites, having tried them all. Low Graythwaite Hall truly is a hidden Lakeland gem.

Catbells - A spacious bedroom with a truly magical and simply stunning king-size bed, 'The Morpheus' (the Greek god of dreams and sleep), which has been hand-made from solid beams reclaimed from old mills, factories and barns. It is complemented by matching furniture, contrasting and luxurious Italian fabrics and leather upholstery. This en suite room with shower, basin and wc also boasts modern entertainment including LCD television with Freeview and Bose entertainment system, whilst still keeping period features and heaps of character. There is a large amount of space to spread out, relax and enjoy the views over the gardens and fells beyond. DAB radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and duvet bedding. (Please see photos 8 - 11 in the gallery above.)

Grisedale - A lovely, light and airy en suite bedroom tastefully furnished with a beautiful 'Cannon Ball Four Poster' double bed, matching furniture and contrasting selection of Italian fabrics including large and comfortable window seats. This room has views over the garden, topiary trees and fields. It has a large bathroom with heated slate flooring for your comfort, corner bath with mixer shower, basin, wc and contemporary fittings...this bathroom is just ideal for relaxing in. Colour television, DAB radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and duvet bedding. (Please see photos 4 - 7 in the gallery above.)

Tethera - A very large bedroom with en suite shower, basin and wc. The king-size 'mocha hide sleigh bed' is complemented by Italian fabrics and solid oak furniture with contrasting upholstery. A lounge area in the room allows you to sit back and relax with a glass of wine or two. Tethera has superb views over the fields and gardens - in summer you will see the beautiful laburnum tree in all its glory and in winter, as first light arrives, you are likely to see herds of deer grazing. This is a most comfortable room with a light and airy feel, whatever the season. Colour television, DAB radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and duvet bedding. (Please see photos 1 - 3 in the gallery above.)

Cunsey - A beautiful, spacious bedroom with king-size bed, which can be made up as a twin if required, and en suite bath, shower, basin and wc. We have added only the best in quality furnishings with those all important finishing touches. The large bathroom is complemented by beautiful Persian white tiles and has the luxury of underfloor heating for your added comfort. Solid oak furniture and contemporary fittings work well with the beautiful characteristics of this room - powder cupboards, oak beams and window seats, and a relaxing night's sleep awaits you in the extremely comfortable bed, which is dressed in tailored fabrics. LCD television with Freeview, Bose entertainment system, DAB radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and duvet bedding. (Please see photos 12 - 16 in the gallery above.)

Esthwaite - A comfortable room with double bed and en suite bathroom - bath with shower over, basin and wc. Esthwaite has some 17th century features, such as a powder cupboard and original leaded windows, which combine well with the carefully chosen furniture to give this room a certain charm. Although smaller in size than our other rooms it is nevertheless comfortable and full of character with views across the neighbouring farm. LCD television with DVD player, DAB radio, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and duvet bedding. (Please see photos 17 - 19 in the gallery above.)

Family Suite - Two of our rooms, Cunsey and Esthwaite, can be used as a self-contained family suite as they have separate access via their own staircase.

We are happy to provide a travel cot and high chair, if required, free of charge.

For the comfort of all guests, please note that smoking is not permitted in any part of the house.
